Sgt Kennth O' Riley - American 101st Airborne, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, "Screaming Eagles" Fox (F) Company

Background:
Kennth O' Riley was born and rasied in Maine, New England. Kennth was at college when millitary personal came in asking for volunteers for the army, navy and airforce. Then one spoke about the Airborne Parachute infantry. He'd read a magazine previously of the tough training and hardships of what paratroopers went through and was deeply interested. He raised his hand and within the next couple of days he was shipped off to Camp Toccoa, in Toccoa-Georgia. He trained like all the men aspiring to be Paratroopers did and by the end of his inital training he became Corporal in his platoon.
On Tuesday, 6 June 1944 the 101st and 82nd American Airborne divisions dropped over Normandy - 4 hours ahead of the D-Day beach Landings. Kennth landed alone. Moving through dense terrian he linked up with men from the 82nd, they'd been blow all over the place. The landing zones that had been selected were miles from their actual location and he with three soldiers of the 82nd advanced to their 'proper' objective. Within the day, Kennth had linked up with B (Bravo) E (Easy) and sticks of his own (Fox) Company and by the day's end he had re-joined his Division and Company.
By the end and success of Operation Overlord, the battle at Carentan, Kennth had earned his NCO position as Segeant.
(Now onto his second drop and with that the biggest allied Airborne assault in the World's history to date. Operation Market Garden is a go)
