New Elysian stuff is also coming out next year! xD, Carapace wearing jump-infantry FTW!

On the Badab War. I felt really sorry for Lugft Huron, all he was doing was defending his right to destroy the enemies of the Imperium, but the Inquisition got in the way... AGAIN!

He wasn't.

Not even at the end, Huron didn't turn to the Dark Gods. The Imperium betrayed him, he didn't betray the Imperium.

I'll explain to you the reasons why if you so wish. Smile

Huron was given the rank of supreme commander of the Maelstrom warders. Mantis Warriors, Lamenters and the Charnel Guard as well as his Astral Claws were put to use wiping out Xenos, traitors alike. Huron stated that with his forces he would utterly crush the Maelstrom and all that lay within it's shadows.

However the High Lords diverted the Charnel Guard to go fight in the 13th Black Crusade. Huron asked for reinforcements but was denied which also denied him the chance to wipe out the Maelstrom forever.

Again, when the Black Templars launched their Crusade of Wrath against the Word Bearers, the Astral Claws and the Maelstrom Warders helped fight alongside them, once again Huron fought his plan was comming to furition when the Black Templars were directed to help fend off the Hive Fleet invasion of Ultramar.

Again Huron got pissed, asking for reinforcements to finish off the Maelstrom and again he was denied.

Pissed at this Huron denied all tithes to other sectors are worlds outside the Maelstrom zone. A female governor of a planet got pissed that she didn't get her money and decided to advance into the Maelstron zone to claim it.

Huron denied her entry claiming the tithes were being used for millitary perposes, she got pissed some more and in turn got shot down. The Adepts of Terra weren't to fussed about this due to the fact that inter-sector skirmish were common and Huron was in fact in the right as far as claiming tithes was concerned.

This governor didn't see it that way so she asked the Fire Hawks (Lost and Damned) to help her get the tithes. The Fire Hawks seizing the chance to help out since the Fire Hawks Chapter Master was a pissy little ant that didn't like Huron much because he got the right to command other armies in other conquests decided that he was going to intervene.

The Mantis Warriors told them to piss off but they didn't, instead fireing upon the Mantis Warriors which in turn fired back desroying another fleet.

By this time the Governoress was even more pissed (I mean PMT pissed) and the Chapter Master now also pissed asked for a right to declare war, Adeptus Terra asking for Huron to account for this said that he was provoked and it was a direct violation to intrude on milltary affairs as asking for money, bullets, geenseed etc was out of the question since they were in a major conflict.

Then as the war intesified the Inquision got a wiff of this and through fuck it lets go kill some innocent people today and decided to sent nearly every marine chapter available to destroy Chapters because of a stupid misunderstanding.

Indeed, brother.

I know Huron eventually went traitor (and by Imperial Records he was a traitor right before/during the Badab war) But seriously, it was a misunderstanding and that if Huron got the troops to support him, he'd still be a loyal servant to the Imperium. It's just that the Inquisition ruin everything!

I mean look at the Space Wolves, they just itching to destroy the Inquisiton!

from my other sources the history seemed to be he went into the maelstrom to purge it but came out the twisted psychopath he would eventually become (but keeping it hidden) withheld the tithes, the Ad-mech getting pissy sent a ship, that Huron destroyed and drew the others together, all withholding their tithes (geneseed included) feeling that the astartes should have more autonomy, the imperium countered with their own forces and there you go...

It kind of is like that, minus the psychopath part. When reading the Imperial Armour Huron was in communication with the High Lords right up to the point of him issuing the Succession from the Imperium but still fight for all that is true for Humanity and the God-Emperor.

No Daemons were used or Chaos influence at any part.

The major thing and this is the reason why the Astral Claws were deemed heretical.

The Tiger Claws chapter were fought lost until one ship came out of the warp, they found their homeworld was destroyed [Inquisition] and asked the High Lords for a geen tithe, none was given and they dissapeared, words wispered by the Inquisition and the High Lords was that it was a good thing they dissapeared to to being the Cursed founding.

Later you find out that elements of the Tiger Claws Chapter were hiding with the ranks of the Astral Claws (there geen successor) and that the Astral Claws were trying to re-build them with the witheld geenseed.

Also the part were the Astral Claws were over 4,000 Marine might of pissed them off too but look at the Dark Angels, Space Wolves, and Black Templars they suppass the limit of 1,000 but there alright... Simple BS to destroy a chapter for no other reason other then because the Inquisiton can do what it wants.

well the Wolves and Templars never signed up with the Codex, Templars never form beyond 1,200 at a time (Armeggedon had under 1,100 all told if I remember, the largest congegation) the DA break this by making more chapters which are almost all subserviant to them.

Nevertheless, they are all still above Codex-approved numbers.

Which possess a threat to the Imperium, no? The Astral Claws sure did.

If the Templars ever did go rogue they'd destroy the Imperium single-handedly in my opinion. But yet they still go without punishment, likewise for other Chapters in the list.

Also the Dark Angels and there successors can still be classed as one Chapter they are all Unforgiven and they have each a Grand Master while Azreal is Supreme Grand Master meaning he is Master of them all.
